Lost Disc Collection & Recovery
🥏 Lost a Disc? We’re Here to Help.
At Throw Coast Disc Golf, we know how frustrating it is to lose a disc, especially one that’s broken in just right. That’s why we’ve made it a priority to help return lost discs to their rightful owners. It’s not just good karma—it’s part of being a community-focused shop that cares about the players who walk through our doors.
Whether someone drops off a found disc or comes in to pick one up, we love those small moments of connection. It gives us the chance to chat, swap stories from the course, and make sure your favorite disc doesn’t end up in a random bin—or worse, lost forever. We use the Disc Defender platform to streamline the process and do the legwork for you.
🛒 Want to Make It Easier to Get Your Disc Back?
If you'd rather skip the municipal process, bring lost discs directly to our shop. We’ll handle the rest.
When a lost disc is turned in to Throw Coast Disc Golf—from any course—we enter it into our Disc Defender system, a nationwide disc return platform. If the disc has a name and phone number, a text notification is sent instantly to let the owner know it's here waiting for them.
We also make weekly phone calls to follow up and help players get their discs back in hand.

🤷 What About Non-Inked Discs?
If we receive a disc with no ink (no name or number), it’s added to our unmarked lost disc list in Disc Defender. You can always check Disc Defender for descriptions and photos. Once a month, we also post pictures of these discs on our social media accounts so owners can claim them if recognized.
♻️ Discs That Don’t Make It Home
We hold lost discs for 60 days. After that, unclaimed discs will either:
Be donated to the North Brunswick High School Disc Golf Club or another local nonprofit. Or be recycled responsibly through our partnership with Trash Panda Disc Golf.
