What is TechDisc?

TechDisc is not just any disc—it's equipped with sensors that measure crucial aspects of your throw. Whether you're practicing in a net at home or out on the field, TechDisc captures data on spin, speed, nose angle, hyzer angle, launch angle, and wobble. This data is then analyzed to provide you with detailed insights about your throw, helping you to 'Know Your Throw.'

How It Works

When you use a TechDisc, every aspect of your throw is recorded, including:

  • Spin: How fast the disc is rotating during flight
  • Speed: The velocity of your disc as it moves through the air
  • Nose Angle: The angle of the disc’s front edge relative to its flight path
  • Hyzer Angle: The degree of tilt with which the disc is released
  • Launch Angle: The initial angle of release relative to the ground
  • Wobble: The stability of the disc’s flight

This data is sent to a web app, which processes it to give you an in-depth look at your throw type, calculate six key throw metrics, and even simulate the flight path of your disc based on your throw.

TechDisc needs less than 2 feet of free flight to capture enough data to generate your two metrics, which is perfect for our fully netted putting and swing analysis area in the shop.
