This fall, Throw Coast is proud to help support a cause that does just that.

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, disc golfers across the Cape Fear region are invited to help support Throw Pink at Good Hops Brewing in Carolina Beach for this year's Reindeer Games Remix: A Throw Pink Fundraiser — an all-day disc golf event hosted by local organizer and longtime Throw Pink fundraiser Crystal Fussell.

Whether you're a seasoned player or just picked up your first disc, this event is open to all — and it’s about more than a fun round. It’s about raising real support for women’s health through the game we all love.

The Heart Behind the Event

Reindeer Games has always been more than a disc golf tournament — it’s Crystal Fussell’s annual call to action. Since 2023, she’s hosted this event with one goal in mind: to support Throw Pink’s mission through the power of disc golf.

Throw Pink events are designed to be inclusive, empowering, and impactful — welcoming players of all skill levels while connecting them to a cause that matters. Since 2013, Throw Pink has helped raise thousands of dollars for health initiatives nationwide, while also increasing the presence of women in our sport.

As a shop rooted in the local disc golf community, Throw Coast Disc Golf is proud to sponsor this event and stand behind Crystal’s leadership for the third year running. Her commitment to making disc golf more meaningful — and more inclusive — is exactly what we’re about.

This event serves as a reminder that disc golf isn’t just something we play; it's a way of life. It’s something we can use. For good. For connection. For change.

Why Throw Pink?

Founded in 2013, Throw Pink has evolved into a network of events, fundraisers, and awareness campaigns that encourage more women and girls to get moving — while also raising funds for critical women’s health programs.

Their mission is clear:

• Encourage physical activity among women and girls, particularly through disc golf

• Raise funds and awareness for women’s health organizations, with a focus on breast cancer detection, education, and support

Throw Pink doesn’t just host tournaments — they build platforms for change. Every event helps fund real-world programs that provide screenings, education, advocacy, and support for women across the nation.

Where the Funds Go

The money raised through events like Reindeer Games Remix supports a broad range of efforts, including:

• Grants to breast cancer nonprofits that fund early detection, treatment support, and survivorship programs

• Event scholarships and gear support to help more women and girls access the sport

• Awareness campaigns focused on breast health and wellness education

• Resources and toolkits for local organizers like Crystal to run impactful community events

Event Details

We’re keeping things simple, accessible, and fun — just the way community events should be. Whether you’re showing up solo or rolling in with your cardmates, here’s everything you need to know to join the day and support the cause:

Location: Good Hops Brewing, Carolina Beach, NC
Date: Saturday, November 15, 2025
Tee Times: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm (cards go out every 15 minutes)
Format: Groups of 3 – 4 players
Entry Fee: $20 — includes a Throw Pink disc and finisher medal

Awards:

• Trophy for the top male score of the day

• Trophy for the top female score of the day
  (No need to be present to win.)

Scoring:

• Paper scorecards

• Live leaderboard at Good Hops updated throughout the day

This is a casual but meaningful event — no PDGA number needed, no pressure, just good people supporting a great cause.
